Troubleshooting: Companion unable to connect
Follow the steps when:
- Cannot see the Guardian device in the Companion connect step
- Charge up the device for 3 hours in the sun or manually with the mains adapter.
Step 1. Test connect from Companion
Step 2. Replace wifi antenna
Skip this step if no replacement antenna available.
Step 3. Check internal wifi connections
Step 4. Power OrangePi board manually
Step 5. Check OrangePi is functioning
Step 6. Manually enable wifi
Continuing in Vysor, can you see the wifi hotspot enabled in the top bar?
Next, find the Guardian app (swipe right) and open it.
Click on three-dot in top right corner to open the "Preferences".
